On the George Sutton Toastmasters website, we’re always talking about tips for better public speaking. The first thing that comes to mind when you think of the phrase “public speaking” is probably standing in front of a group of people and giving a speech.
But, public speaking is just one component of an overall skill known as good communication.
Being an active member of a quality Toastmasters club will help you improve all aspects of communication far beyond only getting in front of a group of people and speaking.

Loyalty to any particular company for a freelancer is far less than the devotion an employee has toward their employer.

How Toastmasters Helps: Many Toastmasters clubs receive two or more visitors at every meeting. As an active member, you will get practice meeting new people at nearly every meeting. When they become members, you will be an essential part of that new member being successful in his or her Toastmasters experience. This is great practice for when your team at work receives a new member.
