TLI is coming !
You may be wondering “WHAT IS TLI?” It stands for Toastmasters Leadership Institute. It happens twice a year usually after we have our club officer elections which we just had.
You may be thinking “Why should I attend?” I didn’t sign-up to be a club officer!
The first part of the TLI gives us the opportunity to listen to fantastic a keynote speaker! In past years, the keynote speakers have always been fabulous, funny and speak from their heart. Last year, we had the pleasure to hear from a Native American Indian and his tremendous philosophy on life. Six months ago, it was on Zoom. This year will be the same … you can enjoy listening to a polished and professional speaker from the comfort of your home through your computer, iPad or other device.
Every keynote speaker brings a different perspective and one that I am happy I did not miss.
I need to hear different philosophies of life!!! Believe me, it was well worth my time and it will be well worth yours too.
That part lasts from 30 min to 1 hr.
You can leave the meeting when you like, or you can take part in the leadership training just to see what it’s like even if you are not a club officer….. as you might be thinking of becoming one next term.
The second part is the Leadership Training for Sgt at Arms, Secretary, VP of Public Relations, Treasurer, VP Membership, VP Education and President for clubs. This training helps the officers fulfill their roles. Those break out sessions are held simultaneously.
It’s super important that club officers attend. Please join me!
Registration is required, but we are waiting for more information from our Toastmaster District Governor right now. What we currently know about the TLI’s are:
Eastern and Foothills Division will be held on Sunday, January 10 from 12:45 to 5:15 pm
Southern and Urban Division will be held on Sunday, January 17 From 12:4 to 5:15 pm
Denver, Northern and Western Division will be held on Saturday, January 30 from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm.
Metro and Southern Division will be held on Saturday, January 30 from 12:45 to 5:15 pm.
You can attend whichever you choose. Right now you can save the date in your calendar.
