This week we will be giving the Tin Cup a try for our new event location for the George Sutton Toastmasters club. The Tin Cup is a restaurant at the Aurora Hills Golf Course. As always, our events begin at 11:30 and end at 1:00 pm every Thursday. We are hoping the Tin Cup will become our permanent home.

Congrats to the following officers who have been elected to lead our club into 2014 and serve during the January-June 2014 term.

Ron Tickel: President
Carl Bruckman: VP Education
Ina Michelsen: VP Membership
Marty Dickinson: VP Education
Ryan Dunn: VP Finance
Barbara Peck: Secretary
Jennifer Bailey: Sergeant-at-Arms

Stay safe and stay home. We’re canceling Today’s Toastmasters meeting due to flooded roads, flooded basements, poor driving visibility, traffic, and just a whole lotta wet. Radio this morning said we would have had 200″ of snow by now if it was 40 degrees colder! See you next week (weather permitting)

I forgot to get a photo of all the competitors before some of them had to leave but I did manage to capture most of them in a shot. Congrats to all competitors from left to right Barbara Peck (2nd place Tall Tales), Steve Worthman (Tall Tales participant), Jennifer Bailey (2nd place Evaluation contest), and the man who walked away with all the metal….Joseph Coupal (1st place Tall Tales, 1st place Evaluation contest)!
